This editorial piece explores the story of Dapper Dan, the Harlem-based designer known for remixing luxury fashion with streetwear sensibilities — long before high fashion embraced hip-hop.
I designed a multi-spread feature that blends archival photography, quotes, and narrative layout to capture the spirit of Harlem’s style, hustle, and cultural innovation. The aim was to create a bold, image-led story that feels part street culture, part fashion history — told entirely through typography, layout, and tone.
